Once Saint Peter was travelling in the Northland for preaching.He felt hungry due to fasting .He came to the door of a cottage where an old woman was making cakes. St.Peter asked for a cake .The lady was very greedy .So she put the small pieces of cakes on the shelf .She didn't offer him a single cake.At this Saint grew angry and turned her to a woodpecker .Now this bird gets her food by making holes in the wood .?

A LEGEND OF NORTH LAND is located in northern part of the world it is story about of a saint and an old lady who did not give him a piece of bread which was very conjus that the four cakes she made was very nice to look at and would not give ir to the saint ,this made the saint angry and turned her into a wood pecker and her clothes were burnt and went and sat upon the chimney and was making holes through her whole lifr
