This technology is used for herd improvement..steps are:-
1) A cow is administered hormones with FSH-like activity to induce follicular maturation and super ovulation
2) The cow produces 6-8 eggs instead of one egg produced normally.
3) Mating is done either by elite bull or artificial insemination.
4) When fertilized eggs attain 8-32 celled stage, they are nonsurgically removed and transferred to a surrogate mother
5) The genetic mother can be again superovulated now
