If in the cathode ray tube experiment electrons were discovered as moving from cathode to anode then why the discovery of protons was done by another experiment.Even protons were moving from anode to cathode.

For positive charge discovery goldstein use perforated cathode for experiment where no anode required. But in case of electron only cathode and with anode also recquire.

At time of discovery of electron (1897) , no one knows about +ve charge . They only thought that -ve charge is only present in a body. In 1904 thomson told about +ve charge
