a body’s characteristics allows it to serve as ideal theoretical standard compared to all real radiating bodies. This is better known as black body radiation

Nancy Rajput 7 years, 5 months ago

A black body is an idealized physical body that absorbs all incident electromagnetic radiation. The thermal radiation from a black body is energy converted electrodynamically from the body's pool of internal thermal energy at any temperature greater than absolute zero. It is called blackbody radiation and has a frequency distribution with a characteristic frequency of maximum radiative power that shifts to higher frequencies with increasing temperature. The answer to Planck’s law of black body radiation

Larina S 7 years, 5 months ago

A black body is an idealization in physics that pictures a body that absorbs all electromagnetic radiation incident on it irrespective of its frequency or angle. ... The Planck radiation law explains the various electromagnetic radiations emitted by a black body at thermal equilibrium at a fixed temperature.
