Acetone, petrol and perfume are volatile liquids, i.e. they are easily vapourised. They gain energy from our palm and hence causing cooling effect

Remember the last time you were late to school, and you ran after the bus, sweat pouring down your forehead. And you feeling relived after getting the bus.It was due to evaporation. These volatile (perfume, acetone)substance absorb latent heat of vaporisation from your palm. Making you feel cool.

Acetone, petrol or perfume evaporates at low temperatures. When some acetone,petrol or perfume is dropped on the palm,it takes heat from palm and evaporates, thereby making the palm cooler.
