Dipole can mean two things in physics. The first is an eletric dipole which seprates the +ve chage. A simple example of this dipole is a pair of electric charges with the same magnitude but with the opposite type of charge (+ve and -ve) and are separated by a small distance from each other. The second is a magnetic dipole , a closed circulation of electric current. A simple example is a single loop of wire with electric current flowing through it.

Thank u .....
For example,,, the dipole of HCL may be represented as::: H----|--->Cl... The shift in electron density is symbolised by crrosed arrow(--|---->)...
Dipole moment is a vector quantity and is represented by a small arrow ➡ with tail at the positive centre and head pointing towards the negative centre... +(end) - - |--> - (end)
The degree of polarity in the molecule is expressed by a term known as dipole movement... it can also be defined as the product of the magnitude of the change and the distance of separation between the charges..... dipole moment=charge ×distance of separation..
