You can use any type of pen in your board exams just make sure that it has a good grip on your hand and helps you to maintain speed.
It should not leak as it will only waste your time. It should run smoothly. No need to use multiple pens. Write the heading and underline it.
Do the paper with one kind of pen only and do not use red or green pens. Also, make sure that you carry two extra pens with you in the examination hall.
