Rearing of sheep means to look after the sheep by providing them food, shelter and health care.
Breeding is done to obtain animals with desired characters. The two individuals of desirable character can be selected as parents. These are then crossed [made to reproduce] to obtain new breed of the animals having desirable characters of both parents. This is called selective breeding.
