Ncert pg no. 97,3rd para,last three lines Acc. To Erwin chargaff , for a double stranded DNA the ratio b/w A & T and G & C are constant and equal to one . And I think purines and pyrimidine are equal in no. So,ratio of A & G and C & T are equal to 1 What should I write in exam???????

This is only applicable for double helix dna. Even for single stranded dna as well as rna this cannot ve applied.

They generally ask conceptual question in 1 marks So they can't ask this directly

Their ratios are same . You just right it as acc to him A/T = G/C = 1
