Allen's rule says that organism in colder region have shorter limbs but it is also given in chapter that organisms in colder region should have larger sizes to have large vol. per surface area ratio , it looks like both statements are contradictory to each other , please help me understand ???

    I got it , bergmann's rule says that the bodies of organisms are more compact or round shaped in colder regions to prevent heat expel even if they are large But Allen's rule is that the body of those organisms are smaller who have a more linear structure .
