Dont worry abt that .....we all know that CO2 is released upon burning ...the arrow must be a misprint ...or may be it is pointing to that burning...in exam idea book ...the arrow head is opposite to that of ncert ......main thing is that concept should be clear ...that what are sites of consumption and production of CO2 in the ecosystem.

It is showing that co2 in atmosphere is due to burning of fossil fuels and forests,,it is just pointing towards the burning of tree
