What is different between camouflage and mimicry? camouflage is physical imitation to dwell in nearby surroundings without being differentiated. Mimicry is just the imitation of actions , voice etc. In general terms, camouflage is,replicating the visible physical properties surroundings so that you wouldn’t not appear distinct within the surroundings. Camouflage deals with visibility or looks . simple Example: wearing a complete white dress in snow background , so that you will not be identified easily. Therefore camouflage enables you to hide in plain sight. Where as, mimicry deals with replicating the actions and voice . It is no way related to the physical appearance. Example. You can speak like Morgan Freeman,with the same voice and accent and action .You need not look like him.
