Cuba missile crisis was the high time in the cold war as it could convert into a hot war. USSR was worried that US will attack on their ally Cuba so they made Cuba their base camp and alloted a lot of weapons there. US was not happy with this so they ordered American warships to stop the incoming of USSR ships into Cuba. This was the high time in cold war. But both the superpowers behave responsibly and USSR turn their ships back which resulted in no war.
