Normality is defined as number of grand equivalent of solute dissolved per litre of solution . the equivalent mass required for it is defined as molecular mass divided by acidity/basicity of salt/ valence electrons/ electrons list or gained in redox rxn depending upon the type for which we are finding equivalent mass.
