A thin metal can is cleaned, a cup of water is poured in it and heated strongly so that water starts boiling. Heating of can is stopped and an airtight cap is screwed tightly over the cap. After that cold water is poured over it. The can gets crushed from all sides.
This happens because after boiling of water steam is given out and it pushes most of the air out of the can. When cold water is poured over it, the steam gets condensed creating a partial vaccum inside the can. Now air pressure outside is much greater than that inside, and so it gets crushed.
