    Bhartiya kisan union is a farmer organisation. The farmar of bku are mainly from punjab ,up (western)and haryana. They agitated against increase in prices of electicity in meerut district of uttar pradesh. Their demand was to reduce electicity rates,provision of pension for farmers ,rise in msp of cash crops like wheat .
