Flatbed scanner―it works in strips.The read head is a part that consist of a set of 3 CCD arrays. It capture the stationary image line by line.CCD transistor like sensitive devices etc. Drum Scanner–It works in fine points. It also captures data line by line but in this electronic signals are passed through a device which changes them into digital data. They capture a wide density range than CCD in Flatbed scanner
