SCREENING EFFECT MAY BE DEFINED AS THE ELECTRON ELECTRON REPULTION IN ORBITS ,AS THE NO OF ELECTRON INCREASES WITH INCREASING ATOMIC NO. .THIS CAUSES ELECTRONS TO JUMP OUT FROM THE ORBITS CAUSING THE ATOMIC RADIUS TO DECREASE. (AS NO. OF e- DECREASES,BUT PROTON DOESN'T,SO PER e- NUCLEAR CHARGE INCREASES,CAUSING ATOMIC RADIUS TO DECREASE.)
