The States Reorganisation Commission (SRC) was a body constituted by the Central Government of India.it was set up by the government of India in 1953.it was set up to look the question of redrawing of the boundaries of state.The most important recommendation of the state reorganisation commission is to reorganize the state on linguistic basis.On the basis of the recommendation of SRC 14 States and 4 union territories were created.
