Air is essential for respiration in all living organisms but the pollutants cause a very harmful effect on atmosphere.To overcome this problem the biodegradable materials can be put into deep pits in the ground and be left for natural breakdown...as the burning of certain wastes like plastics can be hazardous and emits CO2 and other gases which leads to global warming while by burying the wastes the filled land can be used for other purposes.Hence burying should be preferred rather than burning.
