Number of protons and electrons are same in an atom. Then why is wrong to say that atomic number of an atom is equal to it's number of electrons?

    It 's actually not wrong but when an atom donates an electron to another atom thus the number of electrons are not equal to the number of protons

    Its not actually wrong to say it's equal in atoms but sometimes in ions we cannot use them as in nature electrons keep on making bonds therefore we generally not regard them as atomi no...
