You can understand by its word only...(.DE. FORM. ) Here FORM means a substance which is in its actual /original shape and size . And DE means to bring disturb in its original shape and size . So now it is clear that "A force which disturb to any substance and effects on its shape and size (brings changes) after applying an external force and that external force will be called as deforming force.
