Ionisation enthalpy is amount of energy needed to remove most losely bonded electron from valence shell. As we move down the group the size increases and outermost or valence shell moves far away from neucleus. So it will be removed easily as effect of attraction of neucleus decreases. So ionisation enthalpy decreases.

Due to increase in atomic size

While moving down a group the atomic number increases and the number of shells also increases. As a result of it the outermost shell is far away from the nucleus so the ionization enthalpy decreases moving down a group.
