Respiration in plants is really important because there is a process in which the plants intake co2 which is beneficial for photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is a process in which the plants take the energy from the sunlight and converting it into chemical energy.
The difference between respiration in plants and animals is that plants take in carbon dioxide and give out oxygen whereas animal takes in oxygen and give out carbon dioxide. Another difference is that the breathing in plants occur on cellular level and not on muscular level like animals.
