Raoult's Law states that "For a solution containing non volatile solute, at a given temperature, the relative lowering of vapour pressure is equal to mole fraction of the solute.
i. e. p'/p=x.
Limitations :
1. Raoult's law is applicable only to very dilute solutions. Raoult's law is applicable to solutions containing non-volatile solute only.
2. Raoult's law is not applicable to solutes which dissociate or associate in the particular solution.
