1. Increase in population and urban settlements have polluted the rivers. Large amount of domestic, municipal and agricultural wastes are disposed off in the rivers.
2. Huge quantities of untreated sewage and industrial effluents are disposed in rivers which not only diminishes the quality of water but also the self-cleansing capacity of the river.
3.Dumping of used oil and paints into river water has also polluted the river.

- The clergy and the nobility led a luxurious life and enjoyed many privileges by birth. While the peasants and the labourers lived very hard life.They had to pay heavy taxes.
- Louis XVI spent lots of money on luxurious living and wasteful festivities. The high posts were generally auctioned which caused inefficiency in the administration.
- Long years of war had drained the financial resources of France. To meet the expenses,the state was forced to increase taxes that also irked the people of France.
- Louis XVI called together an assembly os Estates General to pass proposals for new taxes.This proved to be immediate cause of the French revolution.

भारत के संविधान से संबंधित मुख्य तीन बातें निम्न हैं ।
1. भारत का संविधान बहुमत के साथ साथ अल्पमत को भी सुरक्षा एवं अधिकार देता है।
2. केन्द्रिय तथा राज्य सरकार को अलग अलग विषयों पर कानून बनाने का अधिकार हैं ।
3. राष्ट्रपति भारत का मुखिया होगा तथा प्रधानमंत्री केन्द्रिय सरकार का मुखिया होगा ।
भारतीय संविधान के मुख्य मुल्य:
1. लोकतंत्र
2. न्याय
3. स्वतंत्रता
4. समता
5. बंधुत्व
6. धर्मनिरपेक्षता
7. समाजवाद ।
