Mr. Keesing was the maths teacher of Anne Frank. He was an old fashioned-person. He did not like much troubles in school. Anne was a talkative student in the class. So he was annoyed with Anne. He gave her several warnings but there was no good result.
Ultimately he assigned Anne, extra homework. It was an essay on “A Chatterbox”. Anne wrote that talking is a student’s trait. She had inherited this quality from her mother, who is more talkative but the teacher was adamant. He assigned two more essays. “An Incorrigible Chatterbox" and “Quack, Quack, Quack, said Mistress Chatterbox”. In fact, Mr. Keesing had intended to play a joke on Anne but Anne wrote the essay in such a way that it became a joke on Mr. Keesing himself. After that, he stopped giving Anne any extra homework. He allowed her to talk in the class. He even started making jokes with the children.

The young seagull was afraid of flying as he thought that his wings were not able to support him. Somehow when he had taken a little run forward to the brink of the ledge and attempted to flap his wings he became afraid. Even when each of his brothers and little sister, whose wings were shorter than his own flew away, he failed to muster up the courage to fly.

Acid rain is a rain or any other form of precipitation that is unusually acidic. When fossil fuel such as coal and petroleum are burnt, they produce air-polluting gases such as sulphur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide. These gases react with the water vapour in the atmosphere and eventually form dilute solutions of sulphuric acid and nitric acid. These acids mix with rain water and come down in the form of acid rain. It can have harmful effects on human beings, vegetation, aquatic animals and buildings.

Acid rain is rain with a pH of less than 5 due to dissolution of sulphur dioxide, nitrogen oxides and hydrochloric acid in it. Acid rain is caused when the oxides of nitrogen and sulphur are precipitated from the rain water. These oxides are present in the upper atmosphere and when rain falls these oxides get dissolved in rain water and forms nitric acid and sulphuric acid thus makes it acidic.
