x²+y²=(sinA+cosA) ² +(sinA-cosA) ²
= 2
OR,
x+y=k sinA, x-y=k cosA
x²+y²=1/2(k²sin²A + k²cos²A)
= 1/2 (k²(sin²A + cos²A))
= 1/2 *k²
= k²/2

= -5 ( x2 - 2x) - 1
= -5 (x2 - 2x + 1 - 1) - 1
= -5 (x - 1)2 + 5 - 1
= 4 - 5 (x - 1)2
Since ( x - 1 )2 >= 0
-5 (x - 1)2 <= 0
4 - 5 (x - 1)2 <= 4

a+b=3 i. e. b=3-a
a ³+b³=7 (Given)
(a+b) ³-3ab(a+b)=7
Or, 27-9ab=7
Or, ab=20/9
Now, a(3-a)=20/9
Or, 9a²-27a+20=0
Solving by Sreedhar Achrya's formula,
We get,
a=5/3 or 4/3
and b=4/3 or 5/3
