When capacitor is connected to the battery then charge accumulated on the plates of capacitor ,this process continue till the potential difference of capacitor become equal to the battery, hence due to this flow of charge galvanometer show momentary deflection . Now id=dQ/dt, flux=E.A = Q/A now d flux/dt = dQ/ €×dt . Hence id = € dflux /dt

Because in reverse bias it is easier to observe change in current with change in the light intensity

Amit Kumar 6 years, 1 month ago

Tanish Jain 6 years, 1 month ago

The current in the forward bias is primarily due to major carriers but in reverse bias it is due to the minor carriers. As the fractional change in the reverse current due to the photoeffects is more easily measurable than in the forward bias current. So photodiodes are operated in the reverse bias.

A dipole moment is a measurement of the separation of two opposite electrical charges. Dipole moments are a vector quantity. The magnitude is equal to the charge multiplied by the distance between the charges and the direction is from negative charge to positive charge:μ = q · r,where μ is the dipole moment, q is the magnitude of the separated charge, and r is the distance between the charges.

Rishi Kumar 6 years, 1 month ago

It is an pair of equal an opposite charges seperated by a small distance..... It is a vector quantity and its direction if from negative to positive P=q.2a

Mohd Faisal 6 years, 1 month ago
