Hey dont get stressed it will decrease yoir performence Einstein's Photoelectric Equation: The minimum energy required by an electron to come out of the surface of the metal is called the photoelectric work function (∅o) of the metal. The remaining energy (hν – ∅o) is the maximum kinetic energy of the electron with which a photoelectron will be ejected.

Laws of Photoelectric Emission The number of electrons emitted per second is directly proportional to the amount of light incident on the surface. The energy of the emitted electrons is free from the amount of the photons incident on the surface, and it depends on the frequency of the light flux.

Because electric field lines emerges from negative charge and goes into positive charge.... they never return back to negative charge .....due to which they do not form closed loops...

Prabhat Emmanuel 6 years, 1 month ago

Because No electric field lines exist inside close loop .

Lucky R J 6 years, 1 month ago

Because there is no electric field inside the loop

Yogita Ingle 6 years, 1 month ago

The electric line of force is the path occupied by a unit positive test charge when placed along the line. If electric field line is a closed loop it means that positive test charge would come back to the positive source charge i.e initially there was repulsion and now it has turned into the attraction, which is impossible .

The minimum frequency apply to plate or anode for which photoelectric current becomes zero is called cutoff frequency of stopping frequency at this stage the maximum kinetic energy half MV square of photoelectron must be equal to the energy required by electron while passing through a potential difference of vo. .....???????

The minimum retarding means the negative potential of the anode of a photoelectric tube for which photoelectric current stops or becomes zero is called stopping potential.

Stopping potential does not depend on the intensity of incident light. On increasing intensity, the value of saturated current increases, whereas the stopping potential remains unchanged. Stopping potential does not depend on the intensity of incident radiation.

Negative potential for which the photoelectric current becomes zero .

Yogita Ingle 6 years, 1 month ago

The negative potential of the collector plate at which the photoelectric current becomes zero is called stopping potential or cut-off potential. Stopping potential is that value of retarding potential difference between two plates which is just sufficient to halt the most energetic photoelectrons emitted. It is denoted by "Vo".

The min. Frequency required to just eject the electron from the metal surface is known as threshold frequency.

Ran Ashre 6 years, 1 month ago

It is minimum frquency of incident light fall on its metal surface so just cause photoelelectric effect

Ďãřşháñăã Yadav ? ? ? 6 years, 1 month ago

it is the minimum frequency of incident radiation below which electron emission is not possible. at threshold frequency energy of radiation is equal to the work function of metal. wo=hvo.
