    To solve the cartoon you must identify the chapter so that you can understand the main point of the cartoon also ask your teacher explain every single Cartoon while studying the chapter..... My sir has actually asked us to make a separate copy for cartoons and print out the cartoons... I know its a lenthy as well as costly work but will definitely won't let us loose 5 marks because of it.... ?

    Civil war was faced by the sri Lanka as two groups of different communities were against each other. These two groups included the sinhalas and the indian tamils in sri Lanka. This situation occured becuse the sinhalas were behaving like a dominating community depriving tje tamils to enjoy even the basic rights. This lead to formation of LTTE (liberation tiger of tamil Elam )to help the tamils in sri lanka to regain the basic rights.

    After the Second World War in 1945 several countries turned out very powerful such as uk ,usa ,USSR (former) ,china etc.these counteries were very powerful in terms of their economy,military,etc .But in these two countries USA and USSR turned out as superpower. USA and USSR became competitors of each other and this led to another series of tention and confrontation between USA and USSR called cold war (not full fledged war) which ended with Disintegration of ussr in 1991 .

    As we know that America led the iraqi freedom in 19 march 2003 with 40 other countries .the UNO didn't provide the permission to these countries to attack Iraq.. The reason behind attack was iraq was accused of manufacturing WMD(weapons of mass destruction) although after attack no such thing was found in iraq resulted on critics on America ,some believe the real objective behind the attack was to capture the oil fields in iraq. That's why it is said tjat history of petroleum is also the history of war and struggle. Hope this will help ?
