Inductor is preferred to regulate ac because when we pass current in it it opposees the flow of current due to self_induction and current regulates

Total Energy U = -3.4eV Kinetic Energy = - Total Energy (U) = -U K.E = 3.4 eV Potential Energy = 2U Potential Energy = -6.8eV Both the energies will change because both of them depends on total energy

Phasor is a vector that represents a sinusoidally varying current and/or voltage whose time period, amplitude and angular velocity are time dependent. A phasor diagram is drawn to show the phasor relationship between voltage and current in an AC circuit. The phasor diagram is drawn corresponding to time zero along the horizontal axis. The lengths of the phasors are proportional to the values of the voltage and the current at the instant in time.
