Light emitting diode is fabricated by forward biased of p-n junction which converts the electric energy into optical energy as infrared and visible light region. WORKING OF LED Being in forward biased of led thin depletion layer and low potential barrier provides the maximum no.of diffusion of charge carrier as electron and holes . When high energy of electrons in conduction band are combined with low energy of holes in valance band.this energy difference realeased in the form of photon.which may be seen as light energy.

It is a special case of fresnel diffraction when the incident and diffracted beams are made parallel

Aayisha Azeez 7 years, 10 months ago

In fraunhauffer diffraction the source and screen are at infinite distance from the obstacles. In this case the incident Ray of light are made parallel by means of covex lens and diffracted beam of parallel Ray is focused on the screen using another convex len.
