Because if temperature increases then the collision between two ions or molecules increases due to its kinetic energy. So current flow very fastly in the conductor. Then resistivity decreases. It is the reason. OK.

Tamoghna Roy 7 years, 1 month ago

But, in Dinesh New Millennium Physics-Class Xii, it is written that if temp. is decreased, then resistivity also decreases... ?

Himanshu Baranwal 7 years, 1 month ago

Temperature is inversely proportional to resistivity for conductor. So,temperature decreased then resistivity increased.
