  • Moving coil galvanometer is an electromagnetic device that can measure small values of current. It is also known as Weston galvanometer.
  • It works on the principle that when a current loop is placed in an external magnetic field, it experiences torque, and the value of torque can be changed by changing the current in the loop
  • Moving coil galvanometer consists of permanent horse-shoe magnets, coil, soft iron core, pivoted spring, non-metallic frame, scale and pointer

Biotsavart law(or)laplace law... >. Directly proportional to the strength of the electric current. >. Directly proportional to length of the current element. >. Directly proportional to the sign of the angle b/w the current element & the line joining the point at which magnitude field is calculated. >. Inversely proportional to the square of the distance b/w the current element & the point at which the magnetic field is calculated. - SHREYAS.M.N.REDDY STUDENT OF AKSHARA COLLEGE 2nd puc (ANAKAL)

Some of Biot-Savart’s Law applications are given below.

  • We can use Biot–Savart law to calculate magnetic responses even at the atomic or molecular level.
  • It is also used in aerodynamic theory to calculate the velocity induced by vortex lines

Acc. to this law palarity of induced emf is such a way that it always oppose change in flux linked with that coil

Sia ? 6 years, 3 months ago

Lenz's law is a common way to understand how electromagnetic circuits obey Newton's third law and the conservation of energy. Lenz's law is named after Heinrich Lenz, and it says: An induced electromotive force (emf) always gives rise to a current whose magnetic field opposes the change in original magnetic flux.

An ideal diode is one kind of an electrical component that performs like an ideal conductor when voltage is applied in forward bias and like an ideal insulator when the voltage is applied in reverse bias. So when +ve voltage is applied across the anode toward the cathode, the diode performs forward current immediately. When a voltage is applied in reverse bias, then it performs no current at all. This diode also operates like a switch. When the diode is in forward bias, it works like a closed switch. Whereas, if an ideal diode is in reverse bias, then it works like an open switch.

Kinematics is a branch of classical mechanics that describes the motion of points, bodies, and systems of bodies without considering the forces that cause them to move. Kinematics, as a field of study, is often referred to as the "geometry of motion" and is occasionally seen as a branch of mathematics.

Reflection of light when travelling from denser to lighter medium

Khushboo Jangir 6 years, 3 months ago

It is that phenomenon in which ray of light travelling from denser to rarer medium strikes the interface at an angle of incidence greater than critical angle and bounce back in the denser medium i.e., reflection happens in place of refraction.
