When it is bent to form circle, the ends of diameter seperates the circle into semicircles in such a way that the two semicircles make a parallel connection in the circuit.Also both the semicircles have equal circumference therefore they have equal resistance.We get 4R as the resistances of the semi circles {8R=4R+4R}.
Therefore 1/effective resistence =1/4 + 1/4 =1/2 ===Effective resistance=2R

The angular magnification of a compound microscope is the ratio of the angle subtended by the final image at the eye to the angle subtended by the object at the eye, when both are placed at the least distance of distinct vision.

This is the required expression for angular magnification.

A Capacitor can store the charge as it has two electrodes with dielectric media in between. It does not allow any current to pass through it.
A capacitor stores energy as a function of voltage and resist changes in voltage by drawing current from or supplying current to the source of the voltage change, in opposition to the change.
If a constant voltage (DC) is applied across the capacitor it charges up to some value decided by the voltage and the capacitance. Q=CV
If the voltage is always changing over time (AC) the capacitor attempts to keep it constant. I=C.dV/dt. thus the current appears in the circuit

The quantization of electric charge means that the total charge of the body is always an integral multiple of a basic quantum of charge (e) i.e
q = ne where, n = 0, ±1, ±2, ±3, .....
The basic cause of quantization of electric charge is that during rubbing only an integral number of electrons can be transferred from one body to another.
