Charged particles can be acclerated to high energy levels by passing them through a moderate electric field, this can be done by a perpendicular magnetic field which will through the particle in a circular motion. This goes on and the particle gains enough energy and get excited to higher energy level and exits the system to hit the desired target....

Tamanna Sharma 5 years, 7 months ago

It's very simple.....+ vely charge particle can accelerate with high energy ? with the help of oscillating electric field ? and in some journey with magnetic field.

Photoelectric effect cannot be explained acoording to wave theory because of follwoing reasons:
1. According to wave theory, after the light falls on a substance electrons are emitted after a small instant of time. However, in photoelectric effect, the electron emissions are immediate without a time delay.
2. The energy of a wave increases with increase in intensity. However, in photoelectirc effect, increase in intensity has no effect on the energy of electrons emitted. All that happens is the number of electrons emitted, increases.

Ďãřşháñăã Yadav ? ? ? 5 years, 7 months ago

becoz it can't explain (i) the instantaneous ejection of photoelectron . (ii) the existence of threshold frequency for a metal surface. (iii) the fact that K. E of emitted electron is independent of the intensity of light and depend upon its frequency.

Reverse bias

Tamanna Sharma 5 years, 7 months ago

Acc to the relation,,,,,,, w.depletion =root(2epsilon/ q {1/Na +1/ Nb} Vb),,,,,,,,here Vb is barrier potential directly proportional to the temp( thermal voltage) and hence as T increasing width of depletion layer is also increasing,,,but for specific change or selectivity of a semiconductor model we have to know either it is forward or reverse biased because ideality factor change acc to varying temperature levels

Tamanna Sharma 5 years, 7 months ago

In which case forward or reverse biased
