To understand this let us take an example
Fixture of 11 Teams..
Firstly find the nearest no. in power of two
That is 16=2×2×2×2
Two has a power 4 times therefore there will be four rounds
No. of teams in upper half=6
No. of teams in lower half=5
Now we will calculate no. of byes, byes are benefits which is given to a good team to skip matches..
No. of byes can be found by subtracting the no. of teams from nearest power of two that is 16-11=5
3 byes in upper half and 2 in lower half
