From question. Y=tanx.secx.sinx.cosx. Taking log on both sides logY= log (tanx.secx.sinx.cosx) We know , log(mn)= logm+logn. Therefore logY=logtanx+logsecx+logsinx+logcosx. Differentiating on both sides d/dx(logY)/=d/dx(logtanx+logsecx+logsinx+logcosx). We know , d/dx of (a+b)=(d/dx of a)+(d/dx of b). d/dx of log x=1/x. 1/y×dy/dx=sec^2x/tanx+secx.tanx/secx+cosx/sinx+(-sinx/cosx) dy/dx=Y[sec^2x/tanx +tanx+cotx- tanx] Now put the value of Y. dy/dx=tanx.secx.sinx.cosx[sec^2x/tanx +cotx]. Write this in copy ,you will understand better. sec^2x means sec square x.

Let angle of elevation and depression is theta..... and distance b/w them..y... and height of tower be 20+x....then.... tan(theta)=20/y=x/y....hence x=20m....therefore height of tower is 20+x=20+20=40m.....
