A is non singular if det(A) not equal to 0. A is invertible means A inverse exists. We know that A inverse is equal to adj.A/det(A).If det(A) is zero A inverse will not be defined because adj.A/0 is not defined. So if A is invertible then det(A) is not equal to 0 that is A is non singular

Let a square matrix A,of order 2×2 or 3×3 as you wish. Then write their elements by your own. Find the transpose of matrix A ,if transpose of matrix A is equal to matrix Itself then A is a symmetric matrix. As theory also states that for any matrix to be symmetric, transpose of that matrix should be equal to the matrix itself. I will show you by drawing but i don't have such tools in phone keypad .?but you will understand . Follow my above procedures and if again face doubts then again contact me ok . #Keep learning something new.
