Mohenjodaro was divided into two parts one of them was citadel,the smaller but higher situated area this area was fortified also it consisted of many small evidence that it was used for royal buildings like great bath... Although there is no strong evidence that it was ised for royal purposes.... Another part of Mohenjodaro was lower town just like name suggests it was a larger but lower town compared to citadel... It was consisted of domestic building which has courtyard used for many purpose.

It is was divided into two pqrts namely, citadel and lower town, citadel was small and high part maybe for the royal,in citadel there was great bath whose actual purpose is still unknown but tge historians has figured out that it was maybe used for rituals. The lower town consist of larger area but litle lower than citadel, this was the part maybe for the common people, it consists of domestic structures including windows less outer walls, courtyards that has been used maybe for the women's of tge house, also it consisted of wells... Near 700 wells were found in the mohenjodaro

It was never allowed but we see that some of the rules were broken by the rulers like the rulers of satavahana dynasty gotami-puta sri satakani, who was brahman (Kshatriya are supposed to sit on throne) who claimed that in his rule there won't be any inervarna marriages but he himself entered into a marriage alliance with the family of rudradaman(mlechchas,of lowest varna) .hope this will help kanika
