When committee was set up , Gandhiji Demanded 50% of the compensation but somehow British landlord only agreed to pay the amount of 25% which makes gandhiji agreed, its because for gandhiji money was less important , what important for him was that finally Britisher landlord had surrender , which will boost the courage among the sharecroppers of the champaran.

Mr Thomas Marvel was a stupid person as appeared to grrifin but it was not so however when they meet each other first marvel was sitting here a ditch looking at two pairs of shoes is and thinking which of them was the ugliest he finally came to the result that both of them were extremely ugly midway Griffin comes and talking to Marvel not look back to see to whom he is talking he just continues his talk but after sometime when he turns back he finds that nobody was there so he thinks that it was only his imagination but next time when he hears the voice of Griffin he thinks that there is something fishy but still he does not pay attention continues his thinking griffin gets angry and hits him with stones to make him realise his presence when Marvel realises the presence of Griffin griffin also forces him to work for him otherwise he would kill him
