Griffin is the central character of "Science fiction novel the Invisible man". Griffin was a brilliant scientist doing some research work. He discovered a formula that can make a human being invisible. The formula involve opium along with another drug. The effect of taking these together is to make the blood clear. Then processing in a radiator engine make him invisible. He succeeded make him invisible but is unable to reverse the process.

In this story the vagabond or peddler or rattrap seller is alone that's why he used to theive things for his living . Even he cheated the crofter who has given him shelter ,company and food to eat . But when he met Edla he found her a very generous girl who even after knowing that he is not a captain treated him well and invited him for Christmas eve . This moment has changed the life of peddler and he became a good person . This proves that love and bond has a strong power to change this world.

He is a mysterious stranger in his appearance as he is wrapped up from head to foot and wears a long sleeved, thick coat and gloves and arrives at Coach and Horses inn for stay. He succeeded in making himself invisible but has failed to find the reverse process. He is aggressive, violent and devilish he wants to establish reign of terror on mankind so in this regard, he tries to get the support of Dr Kemp but when Kemp refuses to be a part of his plan, he turns against him and becomes revengeful callous and cruel. He wants to kill Dr Kemp but he meets his tragic end at the hands of town people.?
