The following words of Mr. Hamel shocked and surprised little Franz. They were thunderclap to him. “My children, this is the last lesson I shall give you. The order has come from Berlin to teach only German in the schools of Alsace and Lorraine. The new master comes tomorrow. This is your last French lesson. I want you to be very attentive.”

He aroused patriotic feelings in the people of Alsace by appealing to hold fast to their mother tongue to be free from the Prussians. He told his people that the French language was the most beautiful, the clearest and the most logical language in the world. He appealed to his countrymen to guard it and never forget it. He was emotionally attached to the school and all his students. However, he was very brave and strong. He was really sorry for not making sincere efforts to teach French to his countrymen. At the end, he became so emotional that he could not speak. At last he wrote ‘Vive La France’ and gestured the dispersal.

By this, the author meant that Seemapuri, though at the periphery of Delhi, was way under-developed as compared to the city. Delhi as a city and the capital of the country had all the facilities and privileges to offer to its residents. However, Seemapuri, though nearby, did not have even basic facilities like drainage, sewage systems and running water. Thus it seemed miles away from Delhi. they are not able to enjoy the basic necessities and facilities of life such as proper food, clothes, sanitation, drinking water, and shelter due to their impoverished condition. Delhi, in spite of being the Capital of India, where all the developmental policies of the nation are framed, is unable to help them in any manner.

Introspection helps us in many ways. Like, Introspection would lead you to knowing yourself in a better way. You can find a mistakes you have made in life and can help you to learn from your mistakes. Introspection gives us the chance to catch ourselves repeating patterns that cause us pain and change. In fact, introspection would need mostly a form of lucidity, which is not the same than intelligence. Time spent alone in thought can be positive—a rich environment for personal growth and creativity, but it can also be dangerous when we are negatively turned against ourselves. Introspection can be a process of healthy self-reflection, examination, and exploration, which is good for your well-being and your brain.

The map of the world on the classroom walls is drawn in accordance with the will of the powerlords. This world is not even remotely related to the world of the dirty slums. The world depicted in the pictures that decorate the walls holds a stark contrast with the world of the underfed poverty stricken slum children who live in cramped dark holes. The pictures suggest beauty, well-being and prosperity. So there is no connection whatsoever between the map of the civilized world to that of the world of the children.
