Henry's law:
The law states that at a constant temperature, the solubility of a gas in a liquid is directly proportional to the pressure of the gas.
The most commonly used version of Henry's law is: "The partial pressure of a gas in vapour phase (p) is proportional to the mole fraction of the gas (χ) in a solution."
p ∝ χ
p =KH χ
Where KH = Henry's law constant.

Amount of gas which is dissolved in liquid solution directly proportional to the partial pressure of that gas which is above liquid surface. Or you can say that the solubility of a gas in liquid solution is directly proportional to the partial pressure of that gas above liquid surface.

15% means 15g dissolved in 85g of water moles of h2so4=15/98 then for volume=total mass of solution/density or 100/1.10 then molarity=No of moles of solute/volume of solution in litres as 1litre=1000ml then 15/98 multiplied by1000/100/1.10 this is for molarity and for molality=no of moles of solute/mass of solvent in kg or 15/98 multiplied by 1000/85

Molarity =0.00165M and molality = 0.0130m.

There are three types of solution. 1) solid solution it is defined as solution of solid solution.2) liquid solution defined as solution of liquid is called liquid solution and third is gas solution defined as the solution of gas particles solution in this 3 solution the solvent which is used in 3 solution is solid liquid and gas it is another matter What You Mix in this solution which is called solute

Normality is defined as the number of equivalent mass dissolved in per unit litre of solution is called normality. Normality is equal to molecular weight by x where X is denoted by valency factor of anion cation and salt electrolyte and divided by per litre solution

Khushi Sehgal 5 years, 7 months ago

It is the no of gram quantity present in per litre of solution. It depend on temperature. It also includes the term of volume. Denoted by (N)

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 7 months ago

Normality is defined as the number of gram equivalent present in per litre solution. It is used for acid or base solution

N = Gram aq. of solute/Volume of sol in litre

Equivalent wt.=atomic wt./mol. wt.÷X factor (charge on any acid or base or total cationic or anionic charge on salt. No.of gm. equivalent=Equivalent wt./Molar wt. Normality=no.of gm. equivalent/ vol. of solution in litre.

when a non-volatile solid is added to the solvent its vapour pressure decreases and now it would become equal to that of solid solvent at lower temperature. Thus, the freezing point of the solvent decreases

Let the mass of solution be 100gram.so glucose weight having 5% w/w=5 gram. So no. Of moles of glucose=5/180.moles and Molarity of solution =no. Of moles of glucose/volume of solution in litre= 5×1000/180×250=0.11M

Hritik Kumar?‍♂️???? 5 years, 7 months ago

1 litre water = 1 kg i.e. 1000 g water (∵ d = 100 kg/m3)
≡ 1000/18 = 55.55 moles of water
So, molarity of water = 55.55M

Osmosis is transport of water from higher concentration to concentration through SPM . Like rasins in water for same time and they get puffed. Diffusion is a transport of water from lower concentrations to higher concentrations through plasma membrane. Like when perfume diffuses in air then only we smell the faregrent or smell

When impure titanium or zicronium reacts with Iodine to form TiI4 or ZrI4 which later decomposes to give pure titanium or zicronium because iodine being more covalent volatiles off eg.Zr+2I2 gives ZrI4 which later decomposes at 2075k to give pure zicronium

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 8 months ago

Van Arkel method (Vapour Phase Refining )
This method is based on the thermal decomposition of metal components. The process of decompositon of a compound into different substances due to the supply of heat is called thermal decomposition.

Titanium metal is purified by this method. When the impure titanium metal is heated with iodine at a temperature of 2500 C, volatile titanium tetra-iodide is formed (TiI4). The impurities are left behind, as they do not react with iodine.
The titanium tetra-iodide vapour is passed over a hot tungsten filament at 14000 C. The vapour is decomposed and pure titanium is deposited on the filament and is removed. The iodine is reused.
