Weight of CO(NO3)2.6H2O = 30 g

Volume of solution = 4.3 L

we know that molar mass of Co(NO3)2.6H2O = 291 g / mol

Molarity = Number of moles / Volume of solution

Hence, the number of moles of solute = given weight/molar mass = 30/291= 0.103 mol

Molarity = 0.103/ 4.3 = 0.023M

Therefore, molarity of 30 g of CO(NO3)2.6H2O in 4.3 L of solution is 0.023M

A solution is a homogeneous mixture of two or more substances. A solution has a solvent and a solute as its components. The component of the solution that dissolves the other component in it (usually the component present in larger amount) is called the solvent. The component of the solution that is dissolved in the solvent (usually present in lesser quantity) is called the solute.

I guess in hyperconjuagation basically we talk about interactions of sigma bond with empty or partially filled p- orbital ,so if we remember that diagram in which no +charge was appearing at meta positions. so how can d interactions ll be possible if no positive charge ll appear on meta position,in case of +H type hyperconjuagation.

Both sols may be partially or completely precipitated as the mixing of ferric hydroxide (+ve sol) and arsenious sulphide (–ve sol) bring them in precipitated form. This type of coagulation is called mutual coagulation or material coagulation.

When soap molecule are present in water the molecules arrange themselves in the form of culster in such a manner that their hydrophobic ends are away from the water molecules and their hydrophillic or ionic end are towards the water molecules.
This is known as micelle formation and the cluster that is formed is called as micelle.
micelle system behaves as a true solution in low concentration and as colloidal solution as high concentration.

The cell is

∴

As K is very high, the reaction is favoured in the forward direction, so, Sn2+ can easily reduce Fe3+ ion to Fe2+ ion.

Kohlrausch law of independent migration of ions

 • The Kohlrausch law of independent migration of ions states that limiting molar conductivity of an electrolyte can be represented as the sum of the individual contributions of the anion and cation of the electrolyte.

 • Limiting equivalent molar conductivity of an electrolyte is the algebraic sum of limiting molar equivalent conductivities of its constituent ions.

 • Mathematically,

Where λo+ = limiting equivalent conductivities of cation

λo- = limiting equivalent conductivities of anion.

Gaurav Seth 5 years, 5 months ago

Kohlrausch’s law of independent migration of ions states molar conductivity of an electrolyte at infinite dilution can be expressed as the sum of the contribution of individual ions. If molar conductivity of cations and anions are represented by λ+ and λ respectively.

where v+ and v are number of cations and anions per formula of electrolyte e.g.,

Λ CaCl2 = λ (Ca2+) + 2 λ (CI)
Λ = KCl = λ (K+) + λ (CI)

Uses 1. It is used to find molar conductivity of weak electrolyte at infinite dilution which
cannot be obtained by extrapolation.

2. It is used to calculate degree of dissociation of weak electrolyte at a particular concentration.
Degree of dissociation
where Λem is molar conductivity of weak electrolyte at a particular concentration and Λemis molar conductivity of weak electrolyte at infinite dilution.

Chemisorption is irreversible process while physical adsorption is reversible in nature.
Chemisorption is an adsorption where the forces involved are valence forces of the same kind as those operating in the formation of chemical compounds. Thus, chemisorption leads to formation of the so called a "surface compound". The process is irreversible. Efforts to free the adsorbed gas give some definite compound.
Physisorption is adsorption in which the forces involved are intermolecular forces (van der Waals forces) of the same kind as those responsible for the imperfection of real gases and the condensation of vapours. The process is reversible, i.e., desorption of the gas occurs by increasing the temperature or decreasing the pressure.

Hydration enthalpy (ꕔHHyd) is the change in enthalpy when one mole of gaseous ion under a standard condition of 1 bar pressure dissolves in a sufficient amount of water to form an infinitely dilute solution (infinite dilution means a further addition of solute will not cause any heat change).

Pottasium permanganate (K2MnO4) is prepared from pyrdusite ore (MnO2). The finely powdered pyrolusite ore (MnO2) is fused with an alkali metal hydroxide like KOH in the presence of air an oxidizing agent like KNO3 to give that dark green pottasium manganate (K2MnO4). Pottasium manganate dispropartionate in a neutral / acidic medium to give KMnO4.

germicide is a substance or agent that kills germs, especially pathogenic microorganisms; a disinfectant.

Example :

Cationic detergents: Cationic detergents are quarternary ammonium salts of mine with acetates, chlorides or bromides as anions. Cationic parts possess a long hydrocarbon chain and a positive charge on nitrogen atom. Cationic detergents are termed so because a large part of molecule is a cation. Since they possess germicidal properties, they are used as germicides. They has strong germicidal action, but are expensive.

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 5 months ago

Halo alkanes are the compounds containing halogen atom attached to the sp3 hybridized carbon atom of an alkyl group.

Haloarenes are the compounds containing halogen atom attached to sp2 hybridized carbon atom of an aryl group.

Khushi....? ??‍? 5 years, 5 months ago

The haloalkanes are a group of chemical compounds derived from alkanes containing one or more halogens. They are a subset of the general class of halocarbons, although the distinction is not often made. Haloalkanes are widely used commercially and, consequently, are known under many chemical and commercial names.
