Phosphine is weakly basic and like ammonia, gives phosphonium $PH_4Br \to$ compounds with acids e.g., PH3+HBrPH3+HBr Due to lone pair on phosphorus atom, PH3PH3 is acting as a Lewis base in the above reaction. For more detail read from book

so can u pls tell me what is 2DES here??

Abc Efg 7 years, 11 months ago

How can you say that I have not understand the concept.... And also gaining the marks are equally important to understanding the concept..

Ritu Gupta 7 years, 11 months ago

komiii S i think gaining marks is not more important to understand the concept. The answer you have given is not understandable by anyone and may be even you.

S.L ARORA ME TO AISA KHI PER BHI NAHI LIKHA

Abc Efg 7 years, 11 months ago

It is established that cyclotron resonance (CR) in a high-quality GaAs/AlGaAs two-dimensional electron system (2DES) originates as a pure resonance that does not hybridize with dimensional magnetoplasma excitations. The magnetoplasma resonances form a fine structure of the CR. The observed fine structure of the CR results from the interplay between coherent radiative and incoherent collisional mechanisms of two-dimensional plasma relaxation. We show that the range of 2DES filling factors from which the phenomenon arises is intimately connected to the fundamental fine-structure constant.

Ujjawal Sharma 7 years, 11 months ago

Bhumi Jain 7 years, 11 months ago

Sry by mistake it happened...For ozone it is +G

Abc Efg 7 years, 11 months ago

Yess afcourse ujjwal ozone prosses is endothermic

Bhumi Jain 7 years, 11 months ago

Here the ΔG(gibb's free energy is the determining factor. The chemical species with +G is considered to be thermodynamically unstable with respect to its element & they have spontaneous tendency to decompose to its constituents elements. For ozone it is -G &is thermodynamically unstable. The equilibrium constant for formation of ozone is less than one.But it survives because the reaction of decomposition of ozone to O2 is very slow.

Ujjawal Sharma 7 years, 11 months ago

But the ozone process endothermic

Abc Efg 7 years, 11 months ago

Ozone is thermodynamically less stable than oxygen because its decomposition into oxygen results in the liberation of heat. Ozone consists of three molecules of oxygen and thus in this its in unstable state so in order to get stable it gives up its one molecule of oxygen to restore diatomic state. Eventually, in all thus process large amount of heat is released.

The single N-N bond is weaker than P-P bond because of high interelectronic repulsion of the non-bonding electrons, owing to the small bond length. As a result the catenation tendency is weaker in nitrogen.
