For organic reactions whenever you read a reaction try to associate it with known mechanism. For memory based reactions write the reactions with chemical formulae and try to write the impact of common names of reactants and products . Their colour and physical state which may be important characteristics are given if they are to be remembered so also write them . When you revise see the reactants and try to recall which were the products or which products should be formed according to given reaction conditions. When you have practiced by writing try to practice questions based on reactions from different sources ,archive ,NCERT ,NCERT exemplar etc.
