Germaniun, Gallium, Technicium and Scandium.
Mendeleev has predicted the properties of 8 elements due to their positioning. He named them using the Sanskrit prefix "eka". Four of those eight were Germaniun, Gallium, Technicium and Scandium. Their discovery proved the validity of Mendeleev's periodiv law.
Hope that answers your question :-)

100 ml of 0.3 M solution has 30 milimoles 200 ml of 1.5 M has 300 milimoles and total volume after mixing is 100 +200 = 300ml . Total moles after mixing = 330. So molarity = moles of solute per litre of solution is equal to milimoles of solute per millilitres of solution . So calculated molarity = 330/ 300 = 1.1

Polar molecules are dissolved by polar ,and non polar molecules are dissolved by non polar solvents respectively. This is because in polar solvents the negative end of dipoles surround the cations and positive part of dipoles surround anions , whereas in non polar solvents the vanderwalls forces or weak forces between the molecules of non polar solute are overcome by the weak forces of the solvent and hence they dissolve ,Non polar solutes do not dissolve in water or polar solvents because because the water molecules are strongly attracted to each other . To dissolve a non polar solute the water molecules need to form a cavity which makes less available neighbouring molecules, which causes decrease in entropy and disorderness of water . So the process of such dissolution is unfavorable. . Napthalene and anthracene only dissolve in non polar solvents like benzene and not in water as they are non polar.

Due to strong intermolecular forces of attraction the particles are tightly bound and are not free to move. So, they have a fixed shape and a constant volume.

Bhanu Pratap Singh Rajawat 7 years, 8 months ago

Because of the perfect structure and have strong intermolecular forces

Rishabh Sahu 7 years, 8 months ago

Because the forces of attraction between molecules makes the molecules tightly bound and so the separation between molecules remains constant which prevents them from occupying more or less volume.
