The principles of management can be applied to all kinds of organisations, irrespective of size (small or large) and nature (business, government or social organisation). However , extent of application varies depending on nature and size of organisation. As scientific principles have Universal validity and can be applied in all situations and at all times giving same results, unlike scientific principles management principles are not as exact as the principles of science. Their validity and use is not universal. They have to be modified according to the given situation. Thus, the principles of management has universal applicability but they lacks universal validity.

(ii) Interest rates, inflation rates, changes in disposable income of people, stock market indices and the value of rupee are some of the economic factors that can affect management practices in a business enterprise.
